We are looking to appoint highly motivated occupational therapists with a knowledge of supporting children and adults with disabilities.

About the Role
You will join an experienced and motivated team, working with people with disabilities to encourage independence and integration within the community. You will work closely with individuals, assessing their functional abilities and making recommendations for minor and/or major adaptions and prescribing packages of care based on assessed need where necessary. Main responsibilities will include:
- Providing an initial assessment of service users with complex care and therapy needs across the teams within the Access and Independent Service
- Identify safeguarding concerns, complete thorough risk assessments, and refer where appropriate to services to manage risk of harm to service users
- Ensure cost effect service provision and make recommendations for specialist equipment and adaptions in accordance with eligibility criteria and departmental guidelines
- Recommend use of equipment and teach alternative methods of carrying out everyday functions to enable service users to lead as full a life as possible

About You
We are looking for ambitious and motivated Occupational Therapists to provide a first class service to the residents of Haringey.
We welcome applications from therapists from a range of clinical backgrounds, from new graduates to more experienced professionals looking to expand their skills and experiences. You should have:
- A degree/diploma in occupational therapy
- Professional registration with HCPC
- Ability to carry a caseload and be able to work independently on assigned duties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be required to communicate with different service users and stakeholders as well as present information and effectively write reports.
- Confidence in undertaking written holistic therapy assessment and set client centred goals with service users.
