Appointment will be made at Grade10: £31,346 - £33,782 so it is essential that you have completed your Level 3 assessment in Social Work.

You will be entitled to a retention payment of £1500 per year which will be spilt into two payments, in December and June. You become eligible for the payment after 6 months employment and successful completion of your probationary period.

We are looking for Social Workers to join our team.

We understand that social work is not an easy job and how important it is to take care of ourselves. We take your wellbeing seriously with wellbeing champions in our teams who understand when you might need additional support as well as keeping us energised through regular team activities.

The work involves a multi-agency approach to supporting victims of Historical Child Sexual Exploitation. Working closely with the Police supporting individuals who have been a victim of historic CSE and are working with adult survivors of Child Sexual Exploitation.

The job requires sensitivity and understanding as well as being pro-active and creative to support the individual with aspects of their well-being. This can include housing support, returning to education, referring on for counselling or trauma therapy or signposting on to other relevant organisations. The support is very much catered to the individuals needs.

Regular planning meetings are held with the Police and other key agencies to ensure a consistent multi-agency approach to supporting the individual to access any support needed and monitor the progress of this.

The role also involves working with Children’s services to enable a joined-up approach and manage and respond to risk.

The role is constantly developing so requires someone who is forward thinking and dynamic to ensure the individuals receive timely and appropriate support.

You must hold a recognised Social Work Qualification and be registered with Social Work England regulator.

Travel is an essential part of this job and therefore it would be extremely difficult for you to do your job effectively if you did not use a car for all or most of the time. It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence and it is expected that you will either use a council vehicle or your own car (exceptions can be made for disabled applicants).
