To support these growth aims, the Council is seeking ambitious and talented individuals to lead and support the Council with delivery of its ambitious infrastructure projects, working closely with stakeholders and supply chain partners.
The role requires a professional with civil engineering experience, to lead the team developing and implementing the County Council's programmes of Major Highways Infrastructure Projects, in order to improve the County's transport network and thus promote sustainable economic growth and accessibility for all members of the community.
The post holder will be required to manage programmes, processes, commissioning and contracts to ensure maximum use of limited resources and value for money. In addition to this, the post holder will need excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with partners and the supply chain, and have the ability to engage with stakeholders including elected members. They will also support the Assistant Director (AD) Project Delivery, fellow Project Delivery Team Leaders and the Infrastructure & Growth Management Team in delivering the Service, Directorate and Council's objectives through joined up service planning, effective commissioning, community engagement and the flexible use of resources.
