The London Borough of Havering is on a journey of modernisation. We are enhancing our services to ensure Havering’s 250,000 residents receive the best possible experience with the Council in every aspect of their lives. There are various major growth programmes being rolled out across the borough to benefit our communities, including a regeneration programme in Rainham and enhanced connectivity networks through the delivery of Crossrail, as well as outstanding schools, beautiful country parks and plenty of natural outdoor spaces. There are already a lot of exciting developments happening across the borough – and we have lots planned for the future – so there’s never been a better time to join Havering.

In support of this transformational growth programme, we seek a passionate Assistant Director for Public Realm who will lead exemplar practice across the services areas of highways, parking, cleansing, waste, recycling, parks and open spaces.
