Job Details

The Highway Strategy and Asset Management Team is responsible for leading on the Council’s highway strategy and for the management of carriageways, footways, street lighting and transport assets. The postholder will provide technical and general support across the team. In particular this will relate to:

  • Updating, maintaining and interrogating asset management and works management systems used by the team
  • Organising permit and traffic management applications for planned and reactive works to ensure that the Council fulfils its duties in relation to the Traffic Management Act (TMA) and New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA).
  • Co-ordination of communication activity in relation to the delivery of planned and reactive works
  • Supporting the reactive maintenance service
