Director of Adult Social Care

Employer
East Sussex County Council
Location
East Sussex
Salary
Up to £152,000
Closing date

East Sussex is a high performing authority serving strong local communities. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside and coastal towns that are vibrant and inviting, many of our residents are very satisfied with their quality of life. However, a number of our communities are facing significant challenges and rely heavily on the core services that we provide with our partners.

The Director of Adult Social Care (DASS) is the Council’s lead on adult social care, enabling the development and implementation of cost effective and innovative strategies for the provision of services, ensuring these are underpinned by focused business and financial planning and targeted investment.

Leading the delivery of our adult social care service, you will have extensive experience of working at a senior level in adult social care, including operational leadership. This is an exciting time as our locally initiated Adult Social Care and Health Programme is delivering new models of working which will change the way we communicate with clients and partner organisations. We are continuing to strengthen our integrated approaches to planning, commissioning, delivering and transforming services across health and social care. You will therefore be a strong collaborator with significant experience of working in partnership across a range of sectors, including the NHS, Districts and Boroughs and independent, voluntary and community sectors.

For further information and a confidential discussion please, contact either Becky Shaw, Chief Executive on 01273 481950 or Keith Hinkley, Executive Director, ASC&H on 01273 481288.
