Salary

Closing date

About Us:

Hiring the talent we need to realise our ambitions.

In Kensington and Chelsea, we have an ambitious Council Plan which sets out our priorities for the future. It is directly shaped by the Council’s biggest ever ‘conversation’ with residents and puts community involvement at its heart. Embedding lessons from the Grenfell tragedy and recovering from the pandemic will be top priorities, and we need many more talented people to help us succeed. Our Human Resources team works hard to ensure we’re a great place to work – and that the market is aware of the scope and opportunities we offer.

The Role:

Joining our brand new resourcing team, you’ll provide in-house consultancy and advice to hiring managers on all aspects of recruitment, delivering an end-to-end resourcing service. You’ll make sure we deliver to the highest standards: following employment legislation and regulations, championing diversity and inclusion, and promoting our corporate values. We want the recruitment process to be a positive experience for everyone who applies.

This is very much about being critical friend, building relationships and using your HR expertise to make us an employer of choice. By helping us recruit and inspire the best people, you’ll make us the best organisation we can be.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative team but you’ll also need to be ready to work proactively and at pace to deliver Kensington and Chelsea’s ambitious agenda. An experienced recruitment professional with some knowledge of the local authority context, your background could be with an in-house team or an external agency or consultancy. Combining strategic thinking with operational resourcing skills, you’ll be ready to get to grips with areas such as HR information, monitoring systems and sponsorship. You’ll bring well-developed communication and customer service skills, and will also be highly organised and resilient.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.

Please apply online specifying in your personal statement how you meet the requirements for the role, as set out in the person specification and job description. CVs will not be considered for this application.
