The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to undertake comprehensive functional assessments / interventions, minor / major adaptations and moving & handling assessments.
  • Experience of providing formal and informal supervision to Occupational Therapy and support staff.
  • Be experienced and knowledgeable of relevant legislation with a proven ability to work with vulnerable adults in a social care setting.
  • Involvement in multi-agency / partnership / consultative working, be aware of budgets and experience of carrying out lone assessments in client’s homes / care establishments, care management and safeguarding duties including risk assessments.

Additional Information.

The post holder must hold a diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Full Covid Vaccine: On 22nd July 2021 parliament passed legislation to make it a legal requirement for people working in CQC registered care homes for residents of all ages to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, with both doses of the vaccine by 11th November 2021. Royal Greenwich is in the process of compiling a full list of roles that will require a vaccine so this can be applied across the board. This post has been identified as falling in scope of the new mandatory vaccination requirement. As part of the pre-employment checks for this role, successful candidates will be asked to provide proof of their full Covid vaccination. You can obtain this through the 'NHS Covid Pass.
