South Woodham Ferrers is one Chelmsford City Council’s four leisure facilities, offering a variety of sporting activities where there is something for everyone. We are looking for a friendly and approachable person to join our management team, who can work well under pressure, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to lead and motivate a team, focussing on high customer service standards.
As Duty Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the centre, ensuring the centre is well maintained, clean, safe and compliant with brand standards at all times, supporting every department, ensuring adequate staff coverage. The successful applicant will ideally have a comprehensive employment history of working within a leisure centre or a similar environment and have in-depth experience of working in a supervisory or managerial role. We require all our Duty Manager staff to be National Pool Lifeguard Qualified. If you do not hold this qualification training will be offered.
The successful candidate will work on a shift basis to cover the opening hours of the centre, from 6.00am to 10.30pm, including weekends and bank holidays. This position is offered on a full-time basis, although a job share option may be considered.
