With this in mind, are you an experienced Educational Practitioner who is committed to championing the education of all vulnerable children and young people? We are looking to appoint an Assistant Head within our wonderful Virtual School who will take the lead role in developing strategic vision and support for children known to social care as part of the Virtual School’s extended responsibilities to improve the outcomes for children and young people who are known to social care.
This is a all year-round position.Successful candidates from this recruitment will be issued with a fixed term contract. Whilst this is a fixed term contract opportunity, there is a possibility that the post will be available for permanent recruitment in the future .
With the support of the Head of the Virtual School and Inclusive Services and team members from the Virtual School - you will provide strategic leadership, vision and drive to ensure that all vulnerable children and young people are supported to succeed both academically and pastorally.
Using your understanding of relevant legislation and inspection frameworks, you will lead this area and galvanise colleagues including school staff, social care teams and other partners, to champion vulnerable children and young people and ensure they ‘thrive’, not just ‘survive’.
