About Us:

Provide vital support to a team delivering better services for residents

In Kensington and Chelsea, we have an ambitious Council Plan which sets out our priorities for the next four years. It is directly shaped by the Council’s biggest ever ‘conversation’ with residents and puts community involvement at its heart.

Following the Grenfell enquiry, Kensington and Chelsea understands the opportunity, as well as the necessity, for positive innovation and change. We have brought our social housing stock back under local authority control and are reviewing the management of our portfolio to prepare for major new legislation and to ensure rigorous compliance with building regulations.

The Role:

In this job, your keen eye for detail and flair for organisation will help to make a real difference for people in the local community.

You’ll be a trusted assistant to the Asset Management Team Support Officer, and the wider team will rely on you for excellent administrative support.

The role is what you make it, and the more you put in, the bigger the difference you can make to the effectiveness of our day-to-day operation. After all, just look at the range of responsibilities you’ll enjoy - from keeping documents up-to-date by managing our library system, to handling all kinds of enquiries by phone and in person.

Colleagues will appreciate your help in proofreading the articles and policies they write, to make sure their words deliver what our customers need to know. And meetings will run smoothly thanks to your careful preparation of agendas.

About You:

Bring a willingness to learn and challenge yourself, and you’ll enjoy opportunities to progress in an inclusive environment.

To join us, you’ll need proven skills and experience as an administrator, equipping you to manage calendars and coordinate diaries, take minutes in meetings and proofread the work of others.

Analytical, methodical and committed to high quality, you like to get things right first time.

You have what it takes to juggle multiple tasks. Proficiency in IT including the Microsoft Office suite is essential.

From engaging with colleagues to managing stakeholders, you’re friendly, professional and clear in your communications.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme and generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
