Chelmsford City Council runs four leisure centres across the city of Chelmsford which offer a wide range of sporting and leisure activities where there is something for everyone. A great opportunity has arisen for somebody with an interest in pursuing a career in leisure, and that person could be you!

We are looking for energetic and self-motivated individuals to deliver high quality Group Exercise classes across our four leisure centres. You will work alongside our team of Group Exercise instructors in delivering the high level of customer service our members expect, building attendance and retaining customers.

The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills, be confident, outgoing and hold a current Exercise to Music qualification and/or Fitness Instructor Level 2 and, in addition, current related class qualifications, i.e. Yoga, Zumba, Les Mills GRIT, Body Pump, Body Combat etc

Vacancies are available teaching the following classes; Group Cycle, Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Aqua and Les Mills classes such as GRIT, Body Pump, Core, Sh’Bam, Body Combat, Body Attack, Body Step and Body Jam.  We are also interested to hear from instructors that teach other classes which are not listed.

This position is offered on a casual basis to cover the opening hours of the centre, from 5.30am to 10pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
