The Role

 From births and deaths to marriages, civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies, Richmond and Wandsworth Councils help people through some of the most traumatic and some of the most joyous occasions. We ensure that not only are all the legal and statutory requirements met but that people experience the best levels of care, compassion and professionalism, making sure that they feel that their registration or ceremony is as important to us as it is to them.

The Role:

 As a Registration Officer, you’ll be responsible for the registration of births, deaths, still-births, marriages, civil partnerships and the naturalization of British citizens at Town Halls and other approved locations across both Richmond and Wandsworth. You’ll officiate at public events such as weddings and citizenship ceremonies.

About You:

You will be a helpful and sensitive person who enjoys working with the public and as part of a busy team. You must be able to understand and apply complex information, and pay considerable attention to detail, all while providing efficient and caring customer service. You will have excellent communication and public-speaking skills.  Experience of working within a registration service will be highly welcomed.
