About the role     

We are looking for an experienced Welfare Rights Adviser to provide specialist welfare rights advice, information and casework management service to our Camden residents.

The role involves working with residents to identify benefit entitlement, help residents make claims, challenge incorrect DWP decisions and represent clients at tribunal.   The role also involves supporting colleagues across the council through coaching, training and providing advice.

The successful post holder will have strong communication, negotiation and advocacy skills with experience in providing welfare rights advice and a casework service to clients to help them claim the full range of benefits.  You will have understanding of the needs of vulnerable people and how to support them.

You will need to demonstrate that you have the ability to meet the key requirements of the role as set out in the job profile under Knowledge, Skills and Experience. 

This role also requires a DBS Enhanced Check.
