We are absolutely delighted to announce that Cheshire West and Chester are looking for a Head of Highways to lead and develop our service as we embark on a significant programme of delivery and evolution.  We are looking for a leader who is committed and passionate about service delivery who has the ability to develop, manage and enhance the functions of the Council's Highway Service whilst ensuring we provide an efficient and effective service, with the customer at the forefront.  Reporting directly to the Director of Transport and Highways you will lead a team of 140 committed staff and be part of a Senior Leadership team where you create change and influence the direction of our service. Responsible for approximately 140 staff across a diverse skill set you will be a strong leader who is able to ensure that we have committed, high performing, customer focussed teams who can deliver against agreed targets and KPIs.  You will lead and manage a programme of change and innovation, driving cultural change to ensure that our delivery of services if the best it can be.  You will have a strong customer centric approach and have the ability to improve organisational effectiveness and embed our corporate values across the board.

The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
