We are looking to recruit two permanent Relief Supervisors to join our friendly and hard-working team at Eskdale House. This is a great opportunity to join us and offer additional but essential support and care to our residents whilst maintaining an environment of safety and respect.

Our Home

We are based in the centre of Longtown and our home provides a safe and comfortable environment for the elderly the physically frail and for those living with Dementia. We currently have 13 residents and the ideal candidates will be people who can make a direct impact to their wellbeing.  

The Role:

As a Supervisor you will encourage staff to deliver care in a person-centred and dignified way. The right person will be required to ensure the effective maintenance of the residential home and the delivering of all housekeeping services. We are looking for someone who can act as a key worker for our residents co-ordinating all relevant services for each individual resident. You will also manage the performance of the team leading by example and setting high standards.

The role is to cover absence and sickness as and when required and will require managing the Supervisors workloads and supporting the training and engagement of the team.

Who we are looking for:

This could be an exciting opportunity for someone who has care experience and is looking to take that next step in their career and our ideal candidate will be kind friendly considerate and flexible.

Ideally you would have a QCF level 2 in Care or equivalent and have some experience of management or team leadership although this is not essential and we will support the successful candidate with any relevant training including QCF Level 3.

This role requires a standard/enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults.

Covid-19 Vaccination

From 11 November 2021 everyone working in a care home including agency staff and other professional visitors are legally required to be fully vaccinated unless they are medically exempt or visiting due to an emergency.

We expect all candidate s to be able to show evidence of being fully vaccinated or medically exempt. You will only be able to start employment if you are able to provide this evidence.

We are operating virtual interviews. This will preferably be undertaken using the Microsoft Teams software which is currently free for new users however if there are any issues with accessing this technology we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements prior to the interviews.
