Lead Commissioner, Public Health (Substance Misuse)

Employer
Lambeth Council
Location
Lambeth, London (Greater)
Salary
£57,837
Closing date
12 Dec 2021

Do you want to work in one of the most challenging and rewarding areas of health and care? Would you like to lead the commissioning of innovative and progressive public health services and programmes? If so, then we want you to join our dynamic, energetic team of public health commissioners, based in the public health team, at Lambeth Council.

You will need to have extensive knowledge of health or social care services, ideally of substance misuse, co-production and of developing high quality health services. What we most want is someone who can build excellent relationships with stakeholders across the borough and can lead complex programmes. You will need the ability to maintain a strategic vision whilst keeping a grip on the detail. Energy, flexibility, proactivity and an enthusiasm to learn and lead are behaviours that will put you in good stead for this role.

You will be working in a challenging environment and within a highly supportive team which embraces flexible working. Your brief will also be focussed on narrowing health inequalities that have been particularly exposed by Covid-19. A drive to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment is required. You will feel rewarded working together with people and communities to deliver practical solutions.
