The Deputy Head of Adult Learning (Quality) is a pivotal role within our Ofsted Grade 2 Adult Learning Service, leading and inspiring the service team and our network of subcontracted providers on our journey to Outstanding. The ideal candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for Adult Learning matched by a thorough understanding of teaching, learning and quality improvement as well as tackling inequality and focussing the provision on those who need and will benefit from it most.
This is a senior management role with the postholder having the confidence and credibility to work with multiple stakeholders including colleges, learning providers, employers and learners to meet the needs and expectations of a diverse borough. They will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead for adult learning and will have responsibility for leading on key aspects of the service’s diverse commissioned provision as well as ensuring that all learners have an excellent learning experience and targets for funding and performance are met.
