We are looking for candidates to lead the development and delivery of significant projects and programmes which contribute to the delivery of the Council Plan or allied strategies and plans.
Specific programmes this role will be responsible for include those that support the delivery highways work to include Major Infrastructure pipeline projects at Bothel and Kendal.
The candidate will lead the procurement and management of major contracts/projects or multiple smaller contracts/projects at any or all programme life-cycle stages from initial feasibility to completion and asset handover. This will include the procurement and management of capital works contracts and service contracts.
With light touch support from the Capital Portfolio Manager they will design, build and manage exemplary programme and project delivery environments across any or all stages of programme life-cycle. Ultimately they will lead and manage a high performing project and programme management team ensuring skills and capabilities are developed and performance is effectively managed to deliver the best outcomes for programmes and projects.
