With increasing focus and commitment to the drainage services, this is an exciting opportunity to work in Hertfordshire’s Maintenance Coordination Team that is part of the Asset Management and Maintenance Service, delivering a highly valued programme of works that support the County’s on-going commitment to ensuring our network and assets are fit for purpose.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and pro-active individual to join us in undertaking a variety of drainage related functions to help us deliver our commitments.
The Role:

You will identify and apply appropriate methodologies and standards to produce effective and innovative solutions to current standards. You will also get the opportunity to prepare design calculations and drawings working closely with other team members and the Council’s wider drainage community and delivery partners, managing both assigned and your own portfolios of work including assisting with the management of various budgets and handling general casework and correspondence as required. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of the Highways Service by suggesting and exploring new ideas, methods and ways of promoting sustainable drainage solutions and drainage resilience.
In return we can offer you a package of benefits from an organisation that values its employees and invests in training and career development opportunities, these include a competitive salary and pension scheme, as well as generous leave allowance and flexible working arrangements.
