An exciting opportunity for a professional gym instructor who has flair and imagination is now available at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Centre.


The Centre offers a fitness suite, free weights, two studios and activity room. The centre also has an indoor athletic track and full outdoor floodlit athletic facilities with an external throws area which is home to Chelmsford Athletic Club. Furthermore, the centre also has a 4-court sports hall. The external pitch is the home of Chelmsford City Football Club.


We are looking for an energetic, experienced and motivated individual to work in our fitness facility which is equipped with Technogym equipment. This is an ideal opportunity to work in a dynamic environment whilst developing your career. You will work alongside our team of fitness instructors in delivering the high level of customer service our users expect.


The applicant must have excellent interpersonal and customer care skills and a high level of enthusiasm and be qualified to NVQ/YMCA level 3 minimum.


Duties will include setting gym programmes, fitness assessments, delivering group exercise classes, small group training sessions, use of Microsoft and Gladstone (Leisure Management Software), personal training, assisting in promoting and selling of the service and the day-to-day operations of a gym.


The successful applicant will be required to work 17 hours per week on a shift basis as part of a rota covering the opening hours of the centre including early mornings, evenings, weekends and so flexibility is a must.
