About us

Camden is listening to everyone, including you.

We’re giving a platform to people inside and outside our community. Because, we’re not just home to the UK’s fast-growing economy. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today. And we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all

The role

We are looking for a Social Worker who is keen, enthusiastic and passionate about bringing a social care perspective into mental health support.

You will enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team alongside social workers, mental health nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists and a variety of community - based organisations.

The duties of this role will include providing care and services specifically tailored to the needs of those who need assertive outreach in relation to their mental health support. The post holder will be expected to deliver specific interventions and to build on – going relationships with people who do not typically engage with support efforts.

If you are looking for the next step up or new challenge in your Social Care career, then we want to hear from you.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

About You

This role requires you to be a qualified Social Worker and must be registered with Social Work England. Also, to be successful in this role you must be willing to show a commitment to undertake Post Qualifying Courses when relevant.

Due to some of the complexities in working within this specialism, you will need at least 5 years post qualifying Social Work experience in Mental Health to be considered for the position.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic, passionate and committed to work within the recovery model and dedicated to improve the well-being of those receiving input from us as well as their carers and wider community networks.

You will have experience of working with people who experience psychosis in a community setting. You will also have experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally to high service standards
