This is an exciting opportunity to join the Cumbria Outdoors Delivery Team on a fixed term basis.

Our two operational centres are placed in the Northern Lake District which is an ideal environment to pursue an extensive range of high quality learning and residential experiences.

You will have a sound knowledge of the philosophy of Outdoor Education with proven track record in the delivery of high quality outdoor educational experiences using a range of outdoor activities. You will be highly motivated energetic have a positive 'can do' attitude and be able to work as part of a team.

A minimum of two years' experience as an outdoor instructor with Summer Mountain Leader Award BC/UKCC Level 2 Powerboat (Level 2) Driving licence that permits the driving of minibuses D1 E and RCI.

Teaching/youth work qualifications would be desirable as are RYA Dinghy Sailing and/or Local Cave Leader Award APIOL or equivalent and BC Moderate Water Endorsement/Leader.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Childrens Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children.

We are offering both in-person interviews and virtual interviews. If successfully invited to interview the best option can be discussed with candidates. In-person interviews will take place at Hawse End. Virtual interviews will be undertaken using the Microsoft Teams software which is currently free for new users however if there are any issues with accessing this technology we are happy to discuss alternative arrangements prior to the interviews.
