Working with people with a learning disability can be challenging but also very rewarding. Our Community Learning Disability team provides specialist assessments, interventions and advice to adults with learning disabilities and their families.

As a Council with its eye on the future we are investing in this important service and have created additional social work capacity in our learning disability team. We are looking for experienced Social Workers to join us and work with us to meet the outcome of our service users and transform the lives.

Travel is an essential part of this job and therefore it would be extremely difficult for you to do your job effectively if you did not use a car for all or most of the time.  It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving license and it is expected that you will either use a council vehicle or your own car (exceptions can be made for disabled applicants).
