Salary range: £36,708 - £39,867 p.a inc.

Contract: Permanent  

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

Brent Council’s wholly owned housing company, i4B, has negotiated the purchase of a brand new apartment block in Wembley Park which will provide much-needed affordable accommodation for key workers across the borough and beyond. The block will be used to retain and recruit key workers in London. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Social Workers to join us here in Brent in our Adult Social Care Complex Care service based in the Community Review Team.  We are a values based employer looking for enthusiastic newly qualified and experienced Social Workers.

The person

As a social care professional, you will be responding to those in need of social care support and taking appropriate interventions as required.  Our Social Workers here at Brent use a strength-based approach to promote the independence, interest and rights of our residents and their families.  Across our Adult Social Care service, we strive to deliver a culture of working together, positive risk taking and accountability. Our core aim is to support our residents to be influential active members of our community.

This includes access to our Skills Academy where you can chose a pathway to support your interests and ambitions. Opportunities are also available to train as an AMHP, Trusted Assessor, and Practice Educator.

We need Social Workers that can engage with people, promote and enable inclusive community options as well as self-directed support.  You will work as part of a multi skilled team that includes Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Sensory Impairment Officers and Care Assessors.  You will be a qualified, registered Social Worker adhering to the Social Work England Professional Standards. 

We will expect you to be ready to perform at the relevant levels within the Professional Capabilities Framework based on your experience.
