About the Role:

The Housing Related Support Team is leading on the design and delivery of new services for single homeless people affected by homelessness in Haringey.

This is an opportunity to work in specialist accommodation services for people affected by homelessness. You will deliver tailored practical support and interventions in partnership with residents and stakeholders.

As the post -holder you will be responsible for comprehensive assessment of needs, assets, risks and work in partnership to identify future housing options.

You will empower the residents to build resilience, improve their wellbeing and health, to foster good relations between those living at the service and those living and working in the local area. You will work with key partners within the community to promote the service.

About You:

We’re looking to recruit a enthusiastic and dedicated project workers to join the two of our supported housing teams. As the post-holder, you will be carrying a caseload of people with a recent history of homelessness. You will be working in partnership with Homes for Haringey, multidisciplinary teams, specialist staff and external partners to support our residents to make changes in their lives.

The post involves working on a rota along with the rest of the team and this will involve both evenings and weekends.

  • You will possess experience working with adults experiencing substance use, mental health issues and those affected by homelessness
  • You will have experience working in a psychologically informed environment or awareness of the approach
  • You will feel confident supporting residents plan goals and aspirations and supporting them to take steps towards greater independence
  • You will be solution focussed and motivated to tackle the causes and effects of homelessness with a personalised, collaborative and dynamic approach
  • You will feel confident working in partnership with a range of internal and external partners

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with personal experience of homelessness, mental health, substance use or criminal justice services and from Black and Minoritised Ethnic communities. We recognise that the LGBTQI+ communities are overrepresented in homelessness services and underrepresented in the work force. We strongly encourage applications from these communities.

Our Housing Related Support (HRS) Operational Team are provided a range of specialist training and professional development opportunities . Postholders are required to be flexible in their working arrangements. Start time and working location may vary in line with service requirement and to fulfil the requirements of the role. Start times will be no earlier than 8am or later than 10pm.
