Local Offer Communications Coordinator (SEND)

SO2: Starting salary £34,698, rising in annual increments to £35,949

An exciting new role in Children’s Services, leading the development and delivery of Lambeth’s SEND Local Offer, the online offer of support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).  This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a commitment to social equality, clear communication and clarity of information to make sure that parents, young people and professionals know all about the services available to them.

You’ll be a confident content manager, with an eye for detail and an ability to produce high quality, accurate and accessible content. You’re a skilled communicator, who knows how to communicate with different audiences, using different media. You should be passionate about co-production and confident in developing positive relationships, networks, and partnerships with organisations and individuals.

We are looking for someone who has experience of developing and disseminating information for a range of audiences, in a multi-cultural context, in various formats. You’ll need to be able to get up to date quickly on SEND guidance and practice so you can make sure Lambeth’s SEND Local Offer meets statutory requirements, and the needs of its audience.

Working within the Families Information Service you’ll join a supportive and collaborative team. This role will support key priorities across SEND, Children’s Social Care, Adult’s Social Care and Health Commissioning.
