We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic candidate to join our Adoption and Fostering service as a Support Worker. Our team recruits assesses and supports adopters and foster carers to meet the needs of vulnerable children and your role will provide practical support to these key activities. You will work directly with carers and children under the direction of the Key Social Worker or Manager.
As a part of our team you will work to improve outcomes for vulnerable children young people and their carers through helping with recruitment assessment supervision and support. This includes working directly with carers to increase their parenting skills and confidence as well as carrying out specific tasks set by the allocated social work and wider team such as tasks that contribute to an assessment of a child or carers.
You will need to be organised as you will be needed to arrange and deliver activities related to recruitment retention matching development and support of carers. As part of a hard-working caring and supportive team you will work to ensure the voice of children and young people is heard and informs planning assessments and reviews.
The ideal person for our team will be an exceptional communicator able to connect with all relevant people involved in an efficient concise and supportive way. You will have knowledge of key theories and practice methods and have experience working with carers other agencies children young people and partners ensuring the outcomes for children and young people are improved.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Childrens and Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults and/or Children.
