This is a key role in the new Environment and Operations team, to help lead the development and delivery of a new resources and waste strategy and other environmental strategies to enable the Council to become carbon net zero. This role will be involved in leading, commissioning, procuring, specifying and co-ordinating a range of services focusing on the delivery and change.

Degree, professional qualification or equivalent through experience in the Waste/Environment field, managing professional & technical staff, including personnel matters, proven track record of significant knowledge of waste industry, knowledge of Environmental legislation and policies relating to Waste are all essential for this post.  It is desirable the post holder has specialist technical experience in relation to the Waste Industry and delivering a Waste Strategy in a local authority context.
