Salary range:  £29,972  + £4082 LW p.a. inc. 

Contract:  Fixed term (6 months) 

Hours of work: 36 hours per week

Location: Stonebridge annexe and other locations from time to time

Lecturer- ESOL

The Post

We are seeking to appoint a 1 x full time (option to job share 2 x part time), ESOL lecturer as temporary cover for six months but with the possibility of a permanent appointment after that.  The role is largely a teaching role but with additional duties such as conducting initial assessments and materials and curriculum development

The Person

We are seeking a competent and experienced ESOL lecturer who is:

  • Able to work independently

  • Able to plan and deliver effective lessons at all levels from Pre Entry to Level 1

  • Experienced in online teaching and using google classroom

  • Able to maintain high attendance and achievement rates in their classes

  • Familiar with quality frameworks including RaRPA, ILPs and Internal Verification

  • Ideally able to conduct initial assessments and contribute to curriculum development

All our classes are for adult learners and we prepare students for both non accredited and accredited ESOL qualifications from Pre Entry to Level 1.

Ideally you must be a fully qualified teacher with either a PGCE or a Cert Ed and/or a CELTA (or equivalent). English and Maths certified at level 2 or above.
