We are looking for registered and experienced Occupational Therapists to join our OT Service working with adults with physical disabilities.

Your duties will include:

  • To arrange and undertake specialist Occupational Therapy assessments of individuals with complex disability needs
  • To complete intervention plans and make recommendations using a client centred approach and making best use of resources in order to maximise service user’s functional independence in activities of daily living within their homes
  • To undertake complex Moving and Handling Risk Assessments
  • To recommend and provide specialist equipment, minor and major adaptations, liaising with appropriate professionals when necessary
  • To respond appropriately to urgent referrals and prioritise workload in response to levels of risk and duty of care within agreed workload throughput targets

  • Have the interests of residents and service users at heart and ensuring they receive the highest standards of service provision
  • Take a team approach that values collaboration and partnership working
  • Have knowledge of current developments in relevant legislation, national guidance and frameworks and how to access more detailed information when necessary including the local authority’s responsibility to safeguard adults at risk
