Location: Civic centre and other locations from time to time

Do you have the vision to lead Brent’s Oracle Cloud Financial Controls and Compliance Support Team?

We are looking for an experienced manager to develop and support the Oracle Cloud system and to work with key stakeholders to drive innovative solutions, which will ensure the Council continue to benefit from the newly implemented Oracle Cloud System.

The council has recently implemented the Oracle Cloud system and need a person to manage the support and development of Brent’s Oracle Cloud system.

The Post

It is an exciting time to be joining Brent’s Oracle Cloud Support team.  The Council implemented Oracle Cloud in October 2021 and are now looking for somebody to lead and develop the Oracle Cloud Controls and Compliance support team for Brent.

The post is a new addition to the Transformation Team. The successful applicant will manage one of the teams within the Oracle Cloud Support Service. This newly formed team consists of individual teams covering functional and technical support, continual service improvement, master data management, controls and compliance. 

The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will manage the Systems Controls and Compliance team and be responsible for the delivery of a high quality service to all Oracle users across the Council.  The post reports directly to the Head of Service for Oracle Cloud Support.

The role will be responsible for managing a busy team of Finance professionals with responsibility for the finance reconciliations and all associated systems and financial controls relating to Oracle and related feeder systems. 

The postholder will work with colleagues within the team and under the direction of the Head of Service, to drive through enhancements by reviewing existing processes and working with key stakeholders to introduce improved ways of working.

The Person

You will have a track record of managing people in a similarly large and complex organisation with experience of accounting requirements of a large financial system, ideally within a local authority or similar organisation.

You will have excellent judgement and a demonstrable track-record of decision making and solving complex financial issues.  You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage people and provide a robust system accounting service.

You will have knowledge and experience of financial systems and associated controls.  You will work closely with colleagues in Corporate Finance to ensure that financial accounts are accurate and robust.

You will be a strong leader with people, performance and management skills and experience, who is able to work collaboratively across the Council and with partner organisations.
