This newly formed team consists of individual teams covering functional and technical support, continual service improvement, master data management, controls and compliance.  The Head of Oracle Cloud Support will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality support service to all Oracle users across the Council.

In addition to leading a support service, you will be responsible for driving through enhancements by reviewing existing processes and working with key stakeholders to introduce improved ways of working by implementing new functionality, under the remit of continual service improvement.

You will lead the effective use of the Council’s key ERP system to ensure it is used effectively and efficiently and is subject to continual review and implementation of service improvements.

The Person

You will have a track record of achievement at a management level in a similarly large and complex organisation with experience of managing a large IT support function, ideally Oracle.

You will have excellent judgement and a demonstrable track record of senior management decision making, involving complex ICT issues.  You will be able to demonstrate your ability to manage and deliver change initiatives, efficiency savings and service improvement.

You will have knowledge and experience, which will enable you to bring about change and where relevant, manage and influence key stakeholders. You must have an understanding of the digital agenda within the public sector.

You will be a strong leader with people, performance and budget management skills and experience, who is able to work collaboratively across the Council and with partner organisations.  You will also have organisational skills to translate strategy into plans and deliver high performance ICT services, managing risks and overcoming barriers to success.
