This role is to assist Lambeth council in its duty to provide a safe environment to the community by enforcing the government guidelines and restrictions in relation to Covid-19.  Using relevant statutory provisions to respond to a wide range of Covid-related issues and offences which may impact on Public health and safety.

About the role

This role will mean working across several council services to provide support in carrying out enforcement duties, engaging with the community and implementing safety measures to Lambeth residents.  The post holder will be professional and have good communication skills, be skilled at influencing others to improve standards and confident in working alone or as part of a team.  They will be responsible to undertake a range of systems and administrative duties within the role, additionally, they will be required to use the current information databases efficiently and effectively.  A knowledge of the government legislation is desirable but not mandatory and the post holder should be prepared to work outside of normal hours; with the possibility of attending evening operations and occasional weekend working.
