We are looking to recruit an experienced, knowledgeable and competent Street works Inspector to join our Highways Project Delivery Team. Ensuring the correct administration of contracts and programmes is maintained across the Highways and Transport division, and ensuring work is validated in strict compliance with contract conditions and applicable legislation and public regulations. You will provide specialist commercial support to the service on procurement and contractual matters.

Working alongside the project delivery team, you will ensure the contractual control and cost management of a substantial number of key highways projects, worth in excess of £100m over the next few years. You will have exposure to the full project//scheme lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project/scheme delivery. As the successful applicant, you will manage the commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement to interim and final account agreement and be involved with the final account negotiation to ensure the best possible outcome. We are looking for candidates who has the ability to assess contract risk and work with the delivery team to develop and manage mitigation plans.
