Keeping Lambeth Moving

Lambeth’s roads are essential to its growth and wellbeing and to the success of London as a whole.

We are looking for someone to assist with the advertising and administration of Traffic Orders across the borough, inclusive of but not limited to Temporary, Permanent, Experimental and Stopping Up Orders. This role does not involve day-to-day drafting of Traffic Orders but may be required in absence of colleagues.

The role would suit candidates with at least two years’ experience of either drafting and processing Traffic Orders and related statutory notices under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or similar administrative roles related to Traffic Orders.

A good understanding of the issues relating to traffic management, road safety, parking design, innovative cycling interventions, sustainable transport, school travel planning, smarter travel initiatives and road safety education would be helpful, as well as administration and advertisement of legal documents.

You must be a Traffic Order Officer, Assistant Traffic Order Officer or worked in a similar role. With the ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of the principals involved in drafting, making and advertising Traffic Orders.

Experience in Sharepoint and Microsoft packages is also essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our lively, passionate, and welcoming team.

If you are interested, please complete an application form online.
