This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join an established project team working within the Adults and Health Directorate on the implementation of a new case management system for Adult Social Care. 

We need someone who has a passion for delivering the outcomes and vision within our Adult Social Care services, and who is committed to helping us consult, design, and deliver the learning and development interventions necessary for a successful transition onto the new system.

You will be passionate about learning and organisational development (L&OD) with an understanding of the Adult Social Care vision and outcomes.  You will be comfortable with offering consultancy, guidance, facilitation, support and traditional delivery on all matters related to L&OD.  You will work collaboratively and confidently with senior leaders, managers and partners on priorities that impact all services across the organisation.

You will demonstrate our shared core values in all the work you do.  Your strong communication and influencing skills, plus the ability to collaborate and build good relationships is key to your success.

You will work on your own initiative, being organised, proactive and responding positively to change. You will be able to think strategically, considering the impact of your work on other areas and the impact other areas will have on the work you do.

You will require:

  • Experience of Learning and Organisational Development
  • Knowledge and understanding of a range of development approaches, such as coaching, ‘classroom’ delivery, facilitation, self-directed learning, peer learning and e-learning
  • An ability to facilitate, design and deliver a range of learning interventions
  • Confidence in the use of organisational IT systems, with an ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and able to communicate with a range of stakeholders internally and externally
