About the Role

Haringey Adult Social Services is committed to achieving the highest standards of strengths-based practice so that our residents can live more independent and fulfilling lives.

The Council is currently reviewing the structure of Social Work within Mental Health and we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, forward-thinking practitioners to join us and be part of this exciting period for our service. You will be an AMHP or willing to train at the earliest opportunity.

Would you relish the opportunity to work in a service that is adapting to the challenging demands of our Borough and is open to fresh ideas and new ways of working?

We have vacancies across our services, including locality, community rehab and review teams.  We are looking for qualified social workers who are passionate about supporting people who have complex mental health needs to achieve their outcomes in their local community.

About You

Depending on your role, you will be based either in the Local Authority or the Trust (with reporting links to the Authority).

Your role will include undertaking Care Act assessments, reviews, Carer’s assessments/reviews/safeguarding enquires as appropriate.

In locality teams, you role will also include acting as a care coordinator.

You will be confident in all aspects of social care legislation and the community resources people can access or be referred to within the borough.  You will have a confident approach to a range of health and social care records, processes and systems.  Haringey currently uses Mosaic and RIO.

All Mental Health Social Workers must be willing to train as an AMHP and will be supported in this as part of their career development plan and appraisal.

Working in one of London’s liveliest and most culturally diverse boroughs, you will seek to maintain a strong partnership between London Borough of Haringey and Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust.

In return you will enjoy high quality supervision, access to training courses in the Trust and Local Authority and a chance to make a real difference to people in Haringey.
