Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference to the life of a young person?

We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our team, working to provide a high-quality service to children and young people within the Looked After system. In this role, you will work as part of a wider team to assess each child and young person's needs, implementing individual care plans/programmes, and providing a level of supervision and support.

The Role

This is a highly rewarding role that can be challenging at times, you will need to be confident, self-motivated, and really want to make a difference. You will get the chance to build close relationships with the young people in our home, supporting them to have their voice heard in all aspects of their care planning and experience of living in the home. The right candidate will actively encourage them to connect with the communities around them, while helping them to keep their independence.

This role requires the ability to work with challenging situations and behaviours displayed by young people, with emotional and behavioural difficulties. You will be caring, compassionate, and committed, with the skills to assess each young person’s needs to create individual care plans.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with experience working with children and young people, ideally within a residential setting. You will also already have achieved a minimum Level 3 in Residential Childcare.

A good knowledge and understanding around managing challenging behaviours would also be key to this role and well as being an exceptional communicator, able to build key relationships with both the children and young people, and their families. We need someone who can be flexible, and works well as part of a close, and incredibly supportive team.
