About the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Senior Business Support Officer to join a team of administrators who provide Business Support to the Operational and Management Teams within Children’s Social Care. We are supporting a hybrid approach to office and home working

The role

As a key part of this role is liaison with families and other agencies on behalf of the operational team, you will be a highly motivated administrator with excellent customer care skills.

You will undertake a wide range of administrative duties including updating LCS Database, producing high level complex business support processes including complex or sensitive reports and correspondence.  To produce bespoke and complex reports, presenting information in a variety of formats and review/develop and maintain systems and processes to support the effective and efficient running of an operational service and the quality of the information held. Gaining an understanding of the work undertaken by CYPS, supporting the service and it managers, accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

You will supervise level 3 team members and their workload on a daily basis. You will audit and monitor all areas of the work undertaken by these staff, as well as managing your own workload.  You will assist the Business Support Team Leader with implementing new areas of work within the team, leading with induction and all aspects of training for these staff.  In the absence of the Team Leader you will be required to resolve issues from all internal and external customers.

This role will include the organisation of multi-agency meetings and producing high quality minutes in a timely manner, including taking minutes in a ‘live’ format. 

What you will bring

The successful applicant must have good ICT and literacy skills. You must be able to prioritise your own workload to ensure deadlines are achieved, be conscientious, well-organised, have the ability to work unsupervised and be flexible in your approach, ability to work on your own initiative as well as effectively working as part of a team.

You must respect the need for confidentiality of personal information and have knowledge of Data Protection, Equalities and Health and Safety requirements of working within an office environment.
