Social Work and social care have a very important role in this arrangement. We have completed the Social Work for Better Mental Health project in 2016 to help enhance the social work offer.
A rare and exciting opportunity has become available within our integrated community mental health teams. As the Local Authority team manager, you will work with NHS colleagues to jointly manage a team, but you will have specific responsibilities for social work, the AMHP service, safeguarding and the Care Act.
You will provide effective social care leadership and expertise to the South & West Community Mental Health Team.
You must be an Approved Mental Health Professional and an experienced Social Worker who holds a Social Work qualification and is registered with Social Work England
You must be prepared to carry out duties as an AMHP and will work with the Service Manager and AMHP manager to support the AMHP service.
