Our Commissioning and Transformation Team sits within Children Services as part of our Operations and Programmes Directorate. We have a combined commissioning portfolio worth around £100m, we manage a wide range of strategic relationships, partnerships and services – including social care, health services, early years, early help, youth services, education and special educational needs – to deliver all-round support that meets local priorities.  

The Role:


We are currently looking for someone for a 12 month period to work as part of our social care portfolio, leading our strategic funding relationships across all of our key partnerships. 

In this high profile programme of work, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships, systems and funding processes across social care, health and education. Your role will be to ensure our collective local approaches are robust, transparent and have the best interests of children at their heart.

About You:


You will be motivated by improving the outcomes of children and young people and have experience of delivering major service change and improvement resulting in improved service outcomes and efficiency. You will ideally have a good understanding of children’s services and the local partner landscape. You will be someone who can form strong and influential partnerships, think strategically and make connections between different departments, partners and sectors. You will also have business acumen and strong commercial instincts. Ready to shape, lead and manage a range of ambitious programmes, you will be a self-starter with the interpersonal skills to motivate, influence and inspire others at all levels.
