Job Details
Due to the current post-holder moving on to new opportunities, we are looking for a strong candidate to take up the role of Senior Project Engineer.
The post holder will help lead the team responsible for delivering the highway maintenance, highway improvement, development control and traffic management service within the local Area, and provide engineering support to the Improvement Manager in relation to traffic management, development control matters and managing the capital programme.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their career within the Highways Service and the County Council, showcase their potential and grow and develop themselves within a very challenging and demanding role.
To be successful you must:
HNC/HND in an appropriate technical discipline or similar appropriate qualifications Have a significant relevant highways experience, with a proven track record.
Have experience of the procurement of highway related works including preparation of contract documents
Demonstrate experience in contract supervision including site supervision including measurement and valuation
Knowledge of legislation techniques and practices associated with highway maintenance and planning procedures and relevant legislation
