The IPS (Individual Placement and Support)Employment Service helps people living with mental health issues to find paid employment and financial independence. As part of the NHS England initiative to expand access to evidenced-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services, we are delighted to be growing our team in Greenwich. We are currently seeking a full time Senior IPS Employment Specialist (Team Leader) to work alongside the Community Mental Health Team within Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Senior Employment Specialist (Team Leader), you will supervise a team of 5 Employment Specialists, providing training, caseload management, supervision, support with employer engagement, observing appointments and reporting to the Service Manager. You will also spend time building productive relationships with employers to identify and negotiate job opportunities in the hidden labour market.

The ability to network in the local community and build strong relationships is essential for this role. You will need a good understanding of the barriers faced by people with disabilities and/or mental health conditions, and a passion to work collaboratively to make a real impact in transforming someone’s life.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check
