Salary
£82,093 to £90,959
Closing date

Be part of shaping the future of homelessness in Manchester.

We have a strong sense of our industrial history, Manchester’s innovative spirit, ambition and character – mixing northern warmth and a touch of resilience with ground-breaking thought leadership.

We want to continue to build on that legacy and our reputation for delivering services which meet the changing needs of our diverse communities. Housing and homelessness is at the forefront of this thinking as we integrate a range of public services, combining homes, health and social care, to improve the lives of our people here. We now need you to help guide and support our aspiration to significantly prevent and reduce homelessness in its widest sense.

The role holder will lead both the city's homelessness team and be responsible for commissioning services linked to delivering our approach. You will lead and manage the Homelessness Service of over 300 staff, in house and commissioned service budgets, as well as lead work with our strategic partners, exemplifying the Our Manchester values every step of the way.

You will be able to demonstrate you have delivered effective and sustainable outcomes in homelessness, able to grow and build relationships with our strategic partners, aligning our services and responses to meet the changing needs of our city. Prevention will be at the heart and focus of your thinking as you lead on developing and delivering positive change at scale and at pace.
