The Role

Are you looking to develop your skills while working for two leading London councils where you will have the opportunity to learn a variety of tasks and support the organisation?

The post is in the Resources Directorate and within the Transactional Services Team. The successful candidate will assist in administering the finance transactional services contract and any retained functions.  The contract covers a wide range of transactions including payment to suppliers and the collection and recovery of debts from customers. You will be responsible to the Senior Transactional Services Officer, working within the busy Accounts Receivable team, primarily dealing with the recovery of outstanding debt and associated administrative functions. This includes regular interaction with our contactor dealing with outsourced work. You must have a ‘can do’ attitude and will need to be organised and have excellent time management skills. You will preferably have knowledge & experience gained within a finance-based environment. Alongside this you must have effective communication skills and be confident in using MS Word and Excel.

At Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, we care more about how you work and what you achieve, rather than where you work on any given day. Your wellbeing and the flexible way in which you can work is and will remain a key priority for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils. We want you to thrive and feel empowered in your work!

We recognise the importance of a good balance between work and home life so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working including, working from home and other arrangements. Please just let us know in your application or at any stage throughout the process (and beyond) if these are options you’d like to explore.
