A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Health Improvement Team in Public Health at Leicestershire County Council. The role will join 2 other Health Improvement Officers and aid on the development and delivery of health promotion/ improvement programmes, with the aim of reducing health inequalities.
The role will involve working with partners both external and internal to deliver Public Health programmes and supporting the operational commissioning of projects. The role will work accross various health disciplines that include mental health, sexual health and maternal health, as well as leading on the operational duties of the Healthy Tots and Healthy Schools programmes across Leicestershire. A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to cope in a busy environment is required for this role.
Leicestershire County Council operate smarter working options, where this role is available as a combination of both office and home working.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Developing, faciliating and leading partnership development
- Project planning and management
- Knowledge around health inequalities
- Strong communciation skills with the ability to negiotiate and influence
- Ability to take action and work to a degree of autonomy
