The Role:

This is a chance to further evolve an established data protection advice service that helps social care practitioners protect our families and service users most sensitive information. 

In essence, you’ll be the authority on information governance for Adult Social Care, Children’s Services and Public Health teams across both boroughs. You will report directly into the two Caldicott Gardians in Adults Social Care and Public Health and in Children’s Services to support them to fulfil their responsibilities for compliance with data protection. As part of your role, you will deliver initiatives to embed and maintain more secure information management.

That could mean collaborating on initiatives to enhance effective and appropriate information sharing with our partners, maintain a high level of compliance in data protection and information security and building on the trust and confidence of our families and service users have in the way we hold their data. You’ll also be a trusted source of advice to other social care practitioners, including GPs, Acute Trusts, CCGs/ICSs and internal council departments.

About You:

You’ll have experience of working within health and social care services and have a firm grasp of Data Protection legislation and Caldicott Principles.

You’ll be adept at both developing data protections systems and processes and championing their implementation to a wide range of stakeholders. Furthermore, project management experience will be vital if you’re to help our teams smoothly bed your ideas in and reap the benefits of your expertise.
