Disabled Children Social Work Team- Social Worker
In Royal Greenwich, as a GOOD authority (Ofsted December 2019/July 2021) with areas of fantastic practice for children and young people with SEND, we are passionate keeping children and young people at the heart of what we do. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Social Workers, to join our experienced team. We are looking for a range of enthusiastic, vibrant and creative individuals with the skills and experience to help us in our ambitions.
You will be joining a high achieving service that has excellent relationships and partnerships established with families, community resources and a newly expanded Short Breaks Offer.
Applicants for the Social Work posts should have experience and confidence undertaking a variety of statutory social work duties, as they will be expected to carry a varied of caseload. This includes Child and Family Assessments, as well as Child in Need, Child Protection and Child in our Care work. They should have an ability to directly communicate with and seek the views of children with a variety of different needs; as well as being able to lead on effective multi-agency work to safeguard children, ensure their community inclusion and promote their independence. Desirable candidate will have an ability to work in partnership with families and involved services to ensure assessments and support plans that are child-centred, aspirational and outcome focused.
