An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Safeguarding Adults Board Manager. You will be pivotal in ensuring the board is operating to the best of its ability in safeguarding adults at risk in Bolton and evidence the impact of our partnership safeguarding activity.

The Bolton Safeguarding Adults Board (BSAB) is seeking to recruit a Safeguarding Board Manager to provide support and build upon the current strong partnership arrangements to enable the Board to fulfil its functions and strategic priorities.

As the BSAB Manager, you will lead on the ongoing development of the Board, ensuring duties and responsibilities are effectively discharged in accordance with government guidance and legislation.

You will be responsible for writing the BSAB Business Plan and annual report and managing the SAR process. You will ensure effective structures and processes are in place to manage partnership working and support the Board to monitor it's effectiveness across statutory, independent and voluntary agencies.

You will provide a strategic lead to BSAB and associated groups. You will ensure synergies with related agendas such as children’s safeguarding and Be Safe partnership are developed and that the board has a cohesive strategic lead in promoting the safeguarding of adults. You will work closely with the Independent Chair to drive this agenda forward locally as well as linking to regional networks and national agendas.

About You

The Safeguarding Partnership are looking for an individual with expertise in managing multi-agency partnerships and have a passion for safeguarding adults at risk. You will be able to work flexibly, independently and have excellent programme management skills. You will have the experience and ability to implement change and have knowledge of best practice relating to Safeguarding Adults.

You will have experience of working within a multi-agency setting and be confident working with officers at all levels on strategic priorities. You will have a good working knowledge of safeguarding adult legislation and be able to produce written reports to a high standard.

The Board wishes to recruit an individual with enthusiasm, commitment, and determination to support and drive forward the adult safeguarding agenda in Bolton and Greater Manchester.
